France Beats Ireland And The UK In Innovation

“Anyone closely following the “innovation of nations”probably has noticed that France is high up on the innovation list, beating Ireland and the UK. At least that’s the case when it comes to Bloomberg ’s innovation list, where France ranks 10th, well ahead Ireland, which ranks 15th and the UK, which ranks 17th.
How does France do it? By beating Ireland and the UK in three metrics: R&D density, high tech density and researcher concentration.
‘France is the second-most-awarded country for mathematical excellence after the U.S.’ said Gilles André, CTO and co-founder at CustomerMatrix. “Combine that with the fact that France has long been a multilingual landscape (which has resulted in many initiatives in the areas of text mining and semantics), and you have the perfect environment to foster growth in the tech industry—especially in the IT sector.'”
