Topics and speakers included: “Global Education and the America Dream,” by Jason Scorza, vice provost for international education and philosophy/political science; “Security and Liberty: Is Big Brother Alive and Well?” by William “Pat” Schuber, administrative science and former New Jersey assemblyman and Bergen County executive; “The U.S. Foreign Language Deficit — What It Is; Why It Matters; and What We Can Do About It,” by Kathleen Stein-Smith, associate University librarian and director of public services, Giovatto Library; “Polling Fools,” by Peter Woolley, campus provost and senior vice provost for government/community affairs; “The World in 2050 … Are You Ready?” by Eli Amdur, Petrocelli College and executive/career coach; “Caring for Those Who Have Lost a Loved One Through Terrorism,” by Mary Kay Mastronardy Stratis, BA’69, MAT’71, widow of Elia Stratis, who was a victim of the Pan Am 103 Lockerbie bombing, and a University trustee.”
